SPECIAL TIMES:
• Monday Morning: P-6 assembly ( front of school )
• Tuesday – Friday: All students may enter classrooms at 8:40 p.m.

ASSEMBLIES
School assembly is held with the Principal on Monday mornings at 9:00 am. The assembly
consists of a short traditional ceremony, followed by announcements re: school organisation.
It is proposed that grades and units will assume some responsibility for assembly items from time
to time, PE displays, displaying of school activities and ideas.
Children line up on the basketball court. On every other morning children line up in the classes to
be ready by the bell time at 8:40 am. Teachers are to be pro-active in determining appropriate
behaviour at lining up time. Please assist in the smooth running of the assembly by organising your
grade to be on time, to be in a neat orderly line and to be attentive throughout the assembly.
Parents are making judgements about the school, the teachers’ attitudes and the standard of
discipline at this time. Teachers are discouraged from taking drinks to the assembly points or the
classrooms. When assemblies have finished, children walk in an orderly manner, with their
teacher, to their rooms. Teachers are asked to place themselves in strategic places to ensure an
orderly progression.

School Times/Day – Deloraine Campus

Teachers arrive at or before 8.30 am each day. Teachers finish on the times listed below:
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday @ 4.30 pm
Wednesday and Friday @ 3.30 pm
There is a staff briefing on a Monday and Thursday from 8.35 – 8.45 am. All staff are expected to
attend.

Assemblies
Assemblies for the Middle, Senior and Later Years are held three times a term The assemblies are
usually coordinated by the Year Level Leaders
